Overestimated
Overestimated
I thought she was my life, she was my only
She was the best, she was my glory
My happiness, my warmth
She was my support in storms and wrath
I depended on her entirely, for my existence
Between us, I could not bear any distance
I sunk down, slumped without her,
And smiled and laughed only when I saw her
Then, one fine day, I did discern,
That she, that cruel just supported me to make me burn
Her brace made me weak,
And I lost my value, mind, and physique
Then I realised that she had been overestimated,
And she had just been waiting to see me dead,
I finally pulled myself up and lived strong
And never leaned on her from then, all along.
