Abstract Tragedy Others

The last

The last

The only person alive

I was left

Not a trace of life

This time it wasn't an asteroid

Nor was it a virus

This time it was us

Choosing to destroy ourselves

Losing the count of days,

I walked on the pile of plastic

And the barren land underneath

I walked past the dead animal

Who's fault it never was

I walked past empty wells

And rotting men

I walked past uprooted trunks

With no signs of fruits

I walked past that once-flowing with water

Now flooded with bones

I walked till I could no more

Fell down to the earth

Taking the last breath

Wondering when it went wrong
