The Golden Casket

The Golden Casket

1 min
243

Bright as the Sun

But a burning ball of fire.

Sparkling as a diamond

Yet a source of light.

“Look up!”, says the voice.

“Hail her glory!”, says another.

“Follow her!” say some.

But ‘A Mystery unsolved!’ say all.

The lady sheathed in shiny gold

Fragile and engulfed in thoughts as lead.

Protecting her mortal self

To the reality that is bitter than ever.

Who decides the set standards of beauty?

What is the gauge for a perfect smile?

Why dare the risk of nature’s folds?

Does anyone care for the world inside you?

(Only, to satisfy the mirror image?)

Women are nature’s bounty!

Women are the ultimate force!

The inner soul weighs a lot more

Than a mere oasis of fame!

Wake up to reality!

Wake up to truth!

Be a part of nature,

Be yourself!

(Dedicated to all women,

Remembering the superstar of Indian cinema!)
