The fights were held in the huge

Stadiums called colosseum

Were like modern amphitheaters

Some were thought much higher

The fierce lion, tiger, or leopard

Was set free from the cage

In the stadium, attacked

The gladiator was cheered

All the time, there was loud

Clamor when he escaped

The gladiators risk their

Lives for the livelihood
