The Dead Stayed

The Dead Stayed

1 min
164

Kingdoms fought and lost,

Lives lived and sacrificed, in the name of patriotism,

Relations stained the grounds red, from veins to in vain,

The last words murmured, “life is the most precious, in life”!

But the kinsmen still snatched all jewels,

Human friends of humans turned into enemies,

Animals and emotions are enslaved.

The illusion of winning an eternity made their blood pale.

The queens smiled in pride at their wealthy spouses,

While some queens detached forever from the crimson red!

Time flew, boundaries dried, geographies diluted,

Palaces fell short of height, jewels stopped glorifying the kings’ might,

And nature swiped its wind overall possessions,

Rain meanwhile rusted all pride!

Without noise, they carried the message,

“It’s us, only the dead forever stayed”.
