Trade Secrets
Trade Secrets
Engrossed in counting blessings,
Overlooked the sacrifices, and it felt huge.
Those sweet words, perfect actions,
And purest of emotions,
Delivered all, in time.
I traded them for a wish so little,
But so dominant!
Oh! How selfish was I!
Years later, the blank check came,
And it did not have any numbers, but letters again!
It said love and without ownership,
Could not find whom did it belong,
Could not decide to whom should I return it.
Poor heart jumped into business for the first time,
And brutally fooled, brutally failed!
They took it all, to gift
Some momentary pampering coupons,
I could not use them, foolish me,
Preserved them as a token of memory!
And they expired unnoticeably,
My heart says they fled,
Nobody shares trade secrets!
