Age Of The Wind

Age Of The Wind

It came without notice,

Touched and caressed, I did not mind!

I went with the flow,

To places, I do not know.

Happy was I, all I could recall.

Then maturity struck,

And innocence scattered.

I am dreaming with eyes wide open,

Under the moonlight, all alone,

And it came again, unnoticed,

Reminded me of places where I played,

Got bruises, yet laughed.

My mind smirked at the memories.

My childhood friend said,

“Kid, I did not mind,

As the wind must stay unchanged through time and space

While you would continue to grow and shed,

You are alive, and my soul is long dead”.
