THE BIZARRE HUMAN WORLD
THE BIZARRE HUMAN WORLD
Every day, the two sparrows came, chirping
And occupied my window sill without permission,
As though they were on their honeymoon days.
They sat side by side, like the longtime lovers.
Watching them love each other was my pastime.
A cup of tea added flavor to my hobby.
I could quietly listen to their vague whispers,
Even if nothing meant a thing to me.
Is there a wedding custom among them
Or do they live on a permanent contract?
What if they divorce as humans do?
Questions piled up my confused mind.
They never fought over suspicion and mistakes.
Cheating and lying were unfamiliar to them.
No acts of distrust and irreverence,
And no rituals and traditions they blindly followed.
No pompous functions and ornaments,
No customs and practices made any sense.
The ladybird brought no dowry or riches,
And the male bird never complained of them.
Never heard of any bird suicides,
Nor ego clashes and divorce cases,
And no restrictions on personal freedom.
What a beautiful world they would have!
From the next morrow, they never showed up.
They vanished, leaving me envious and depressed.
Watching them live a true life made me think,
Why isn't the human world like theirs?
