The Best Person In The Whole World - Mother

I see her face first in the morning

As she gently wakes me up

Smiling brightly like the sun

She makes me feel positive about my day 

 

As she cooks some magnificent breakfast

Delicious aroma drifts past my nose

Mmm… I think as my mouth starts to wáter

Eager to eat the feast that was prepared

 

I see her cheery face as she waves me goodbye

Slowly disappearing from my view

I kept thinking about her as I walked into the school

Thinking about how she must be feeling

 

The day passes quickly and I go home excited

I see her beaming face welcoming me back

She gives me a scrumptious snack to munch on

While she listens to me talk about school

 

She helps me do my homework with patience

And carefully explains everything

Grateful for the help I thank her

As she goes off to make dinner

 

I eat the food with great delight appreciating every Little detail

She gets me into my bed and reads an exciting story

As I see her for the last time in the day

I close my eyes dreaming of her blissful face
