Tale of a Seed...

In the darkness is it planted,

Knows it will have to make an effort,

For it holds the promise of life,

To blossom and bloom,

When it is favorable.

A small element,

Yet signifying an unrelenting faith,

Of life and eternity,

A tree with flowers,

For giving is its pleasure,

Till it becomes barren.

Old man winter smiles and looks,

At the seed and the snow above,

Autumn had given its baton to Winter,

Now the seed knew the promise,

So pristine and timeless,

But lot of hazards and turbulence,

It had to face.

It held expectations, 

Of miniscule yet symbolising something eternal,

It knew the struggle, to keep it's promise,

Or faith would be shaken, 

The circle would be broken.

The land lay hard and barren,

With snow making all colours white,

Old man winter whistled along,

While in tattered clothes,

The people took shelter,

Time seemed to stop,

A hibernation of life it seemed.

What lay beneath,

Was as dark as the skies above,

Tough times rolled on,

Spring in it's multi hues,

Still peeped for its turn,

Unrelenting cold and sleet,

The seed winced and cried within.

But like moods, seasons too change,

In colourful attire, Man Spring came forth,

And tapping the ground,

The white shroud melted,

To shoots of green, the long sleep broken,

The yawning seed, burst forth through the dark earth,

To sunshine and glory, 

A promise never broken,

An endless song of life and seasons,

Of adversity and conviction renewed,

That time shall go on,

Life shall flow on,

Such is the tale of a seed.
