Sun set
Sun set
Sun set
I walked barefoot on the sandy shore,
For a long time, I wandered, lost once more.
The waves caressed my feet with gentle might,
And I stood still, as if in pure delight.
I distanced myself from the crowd's loud din,
Seeking solace in solitude's quiet within.
I sat by the ocean, lost in thought and space,
Reflecting on life's mysteries, the sun's warm face.
Why does the sun hurry to set below?
Why can't it linger, and my heart bestow?
The waves touched my feet, and I wondered why,
They came and went, never staying to sigh.
The sand slipped through my fingers, like grains
of time,
And I felt the emptiness of life's fleeting rhyme.
Yet, in that cold evening, I felt a warmth inside,
A sense of peace, as the sun dipped into the tide.
I wanted to say so much, but words fell short,
As if the waves and the sky had heard my every thought.
My heart was heavy, but the streetlights shone bright,
Illuminating my path, like a gentle, guiding light.
I picked up my shoes, and followed the light's lead,
Feeling less alone, as if the darkness had receded.
Today, I realized, was not the time to roam,
But with the light by my side, I felt a sense of home.
