Echoes of Fear

In fleeting joy, a tremor takes hold

A dread that whispers, "Will it soon grow old?"

Time, a thief, steals moments, leaving none

Leaving me with fear, like autumn's withered sun

Winter's dark nights, a shroud that's cast

Amplify my loneliness, forever to last

Even amidst crowds, I've felt the sting

Of isolation's solitude, an endless, hollow ring

When sorrow's dark, music's gentle breeze

Soothes my heart, a melancholy's ease

Why do I seek solace in art's gentle grasp?

Perhaps in creative expression, my heart finds a clas

p

In art's embracing arms, I find a peaceful nest

A loyal companion, where love and fear find rest

When dreams descend, and darkness softly falls

My mind's a battlefield, where shadows hear my calls

Before slumber's veil, tasks undone stare me down

A jumble of thoughts, a resolve that's lost its crown

Yet, courage and hope within me slowly wane

A fading light, a heart that's lost its way, in vain

Dark hues, a somber palette, soothe my soul

For now, each question fills my heart with a troubled role.
