Street dogs
Street dogs
Street dogs of my colony
Four dogs barking happily,
Are they bothered about the complicated world behind them?
Do they understand conspiracy treachery of human minds?
How do they think about human beings?
Here they get rayal treat, many take care of them feeding them chickens rice, milk biscuits.
It is their destiny, good luck, they could have been choosen to stay with kind hearted community.
Street stray dogs are our best friends say how?
We love them as our children why because at this old age we feel lonely, no children with us, we feel lonely.
They watch us sincerly.
When we feel silent loneliness, they bark chasing after unknown vehicles,
their animal's instinct query to know unknown.
Yes true, they keep in their memory all smiling faces, pleasant merry making, happy gatherings of our colony,
We remind photos reminiscent of past events where these dogs remain always in festivals like holi, diwali , dassehera and new year's event another year together.
Sometimes we get irritated due to untidy, unhygienic atmosphere these dogs create,
because we say they are not trained.
They eat or sleep whereever they like,
Do we make them treat like trained or pet dogs!!! no,
They are just street stray dogs, we never clean them,
nor we care them in a dog house to be fed and slept or tied on chain.
because, we know they are street dogs, they roam whole campus
here and there by their natural instincts, impulses and responses.
They are not chained or they behave like pets but they recognize all acquainted familiar faces,
they reciprocate love caring patting who feed them.
They realize the small kids who love them and search for them.
They realize the gatherings events merry making,
as they too feel loneli in such big campus of retired homes more silent loneliness but small children excited thrilled and scared too, seeing them alone in loneli place.
They bark and bark,
go on barking in such isolated loneli place where they are not allowed to mix up with other street dogs who chase them on the main road.
They are over protected safe lazy old like us in our retired colony oldage homes,
where they like to stay with comforts food shelter, no struggles for food stuff.
They are part of our lifes now,
we fight for our right to live, cleanliness of our surroundings.
They do dirty our premises so,
we drag them to the battle of our mental strife, avenge, revenge ego complexity .
It was discussed in the meeting whether wellfare office bye laws permit them to live in such
beautiful big campus or not?
Should they be trained enough to live in designated places of premises or not,
at the doorsteps of staircases they roam.
Do they need to be trained and controlled more?
I know they are street dogs, they are born free, they live free,
they roam free, chained free, their natural insticts they love,
they know, they chase after, they are liked to be fed but,
they are unpredictable suspecious.
One day they say goodbye and leave us for ever.
Only some pleasant and quarrelsome memories live with us like our past memory of kendriyabihar,
last they breathed here.
