Should I Care
Should I Care
The world’s a mess. Humanity
(that’s right: illiterate, scared, frightened
Humanity plays lip service to truth, honesty
And justice, while embracing and submitting
To what is wrong, the first step on the path to evil)
There is a literary device, where there is judgement
The preservation of human life hinges on the hero
Or heroine being able to identify true goodness
in one individual, preferably a group. Is this our narrative?
Yes, the bulk of humanity is horrible, disgusting and a death cult,
But - this is important - there is a sizeable component of them
Committed to saving the world. Are they heard, recognized
Or acknowledged? Next question? So, is it each of us, to make the choice?
The adversarial nature of this relationship is a perfect example
Of where we’ve gone, and continue to go, wrong. There are those
Who believe plundering the planet is acceptable, and those
who believes it is not. There’s a difference of opinion.
Opinion!? That’s a different matter altogether
Opinions can be changed, present a better argument
And, BINGO, enlightenment and understanding
I/we were wrong, were incorrect in our thinking
Why do I have a horrible feeling of sinking?
What did he say? “The bulk of humanity is horrible
disgusting and a death cult”. So true, bro; so true!
Opinions can be changed, present a better argument
And, BINGO, enlightenment and understanding!
Why is it so stark and dark?
