Self Defense is a Sin

I hurt you.

And that is all they see.

You almost kill me.

But they wear blindfolds and ask me to let it be.

I make a move, 

You set the whole game.

The move is my sin,

And now all guilt, is in my name.

I pulled you down an inch,

Just to keep myself from drowning in the water that you threw me in.

I wanted you to drown and die, is what they see, so sentence me to a lynch.

Self defense is a sin, mark this phrase and sink it in.

All eyes are blind to your reasons, 

all they see is a sin.

You don't get to fight for your survival anymore.

You want to swim free in the ocean, but how can you, while they keep dragging you ashore?

You, no more, can live your life your way.
