I fall and wither like an autumn leaf,

From abandonment and painful grief.

My paths are closing down too soon,

Happiness is sucked away by the monsoon.

Sadness surrounds me, like a vast sea.

A winter storm suddenly captures me.

A void is left along with desperate need.

Hope is lost, taking away my ability to heed.

Memories are buried at the back of my mind,

I shall find them, with a little more time in hind

The loneliness of your absence shall leave me soon,

And I will shine again, like the sun, not the moon.

Spring’s cheerful flowers, burst into bubbles of joy.

Colour takes over my life, teaching me to be less coy.

Life will start afresh, new beginnings shall rise.

I will start over without you, with merriment in my eyes.

Soon warm summer’s light shines through,

Smiles spread all around me, and finally I’m free of you.

Bright blue skies chase the dark clouds away,

A clear path gleams ahead, showing me a new way.

It hurts to think of it today, that I’ve moved on.

Although the sorrow left me, my memories have not.

Through all the seasons, I remember you,

And I remember all the good things I learnt from you.

Dear best friend, I still miss your laughter and love;

I sometimes long sadly, for the past soaring above.

Your aura lingers through pictures that sustain,

When I journey to paradise, I shall see you again.
