Reminiscence
Reminiscence
Her phone chimed with likes and comments piling in.
She cuddled in her bed to stray right on it.
The scent of the raindrops that diffused in the soil drew her to the portico.
The scene took her to breathe and the mind out of its way as the scent gushed in.
A smile bloomed in, and memories clinged to her heart.
The scene captured in her heart outshined the device,
Yet her fingers unknown to her ran on screens uploading it.
Whilst figuring her next caption a mud puddle caught her wandering sight.
With heavy, soiled legs and as the nostalgia of her childhood tickles her mind,
She sets afloat her fleet of paper boats
Inked with the day’s bulletin into the gutters.
The past she once lived in became the moment,
The emptiness in her was now filled,
No more were there fake posts and bewildered thoughts.
All that busy geek took away was a tinge of happiness
And memories being etched in her heart.
