Rain

Thunder, thunder darkened sky.

Ready to shower ,feels so high.

Cool breeze , refreshing fragrance of mud,

Here came the raindrop,thud! thud!

Dry lanes ,scary roads, heavy rooftops,

Changed into watery zones ,frogs eager to hop!

Blissful dancing flowers and trees,

Energizing self , those humming bees!

Chicks run at Mama's call,

Hiding in nests against wall.

Stooping leaves, buds in waiting.

Rising levels of river overflowing!

Let me peep down ,walk alone.

Kids on streets , known- unknown.

Leaving aside the worldly weariness,

Entangling self in raindrops' togetherness.

Stamping feet , moving around 

Splashing water ,all over the ground.

Finally away from the scorching heat,

Be it a baby or an old , enjoying the beat.

Ignoring once again, those zones of comfort,

Wanting to be child again with no effort.

Screaming loud , singing the freedom.

Queen of sky ,Precious moments to enliven.

Flying umbrellas, covering raincoats.

Nature's in full swing , and that dangling water boats.

Roles changed,river to sea and sea to ocean.

Life into normalcy, let everything be in motion. 

Dismantled shelters ,leaking terrace.

Brings again the sweat to clear the menace!

This is the routine , manageable for some.

Who cares ,where are you, struggling lonesome.

This is Rain, There is Rain!

Some in fun, some in pain.
