Life at School

Nostalgic now, when grey hair wipes wrinkled face.

Flashing those memories running in a race.

Yeah! that marvelous entrance with pristine beauty,

There stood the Principal, welcoming a cutie.

Some excited ,some nervous, some calm.

Ready to barge in the new world with no qualm.

Stranger neighbor , restless beside me.

Managed to get a seat, and that hurting knee.

Colorful ambience , blackboard and huge charts,

Looked around, missed mom, but all were stalwarts.

Confident persona guided the unknown fellows.

Yes, that's my teacher, her voice that mellows.

Fun, studies, lunch and play,

All enjoyed the busy day.

Years passed, and grown up with buddy.

unable to forget that naughty Noddy.

Debates, functions and that huge ground.

Relentless efforts and hounding sound.

mistakes , punishments , extra assignment,

cheering up pals, for that achievement.

Celebrating each day, lessons learnt.

holding those snaps of bruises and papers burnt.

Drowned shoulders and bent spine,

responsibilities at stake, wishes to unwind.

Wanting to rejuvenate back those thrills,

Need to be child again with those frills.
