The other side
The other side
I am floating away
Catch me before it's too late
My left shoulder is now too heavy
I am tempted by the bait.
The light at the end of the tunnel
Is it a light at all?
Or is it the end?
I want to see it, do I have the gall?
It beckons to me
So close , too close
Ecstacy awaits,
Dear folks
I want to bite in the apple
The saccharine forbidden taste
But I am held back
From turning into a waste.
For I saw the other side
From where I entered the tunnel
In hope of finding greener grass
Fleeing from all that hustle
Then I remember my purpose
In this grey world of dismay
So I turned my back to the light
And went back the same way.
