Perfection
Perfection
Eyes a warm brown
Hair charcoal black
Swaying gently in the breeze
I gave a finishing touch to my image of perfection
Took the brush to add color
To the masterpiece of my imagination
Waiting for my painting to reveal
My creation of utmost perfection
I painted the face
A pretty diamond shape
With angular and sharp features
Added richness to my image of perfection
I slid the brush on the paper
With gentle concern
There should be none a flaw
In my image of perfection
Slowly bought this picture to life
From the paper came a heavenly maiden
I stared at this beauty
I stared at my image of perfection
She extended a white hand
Beckoned me in her direction
But all I did was stand and stare
Stare at this foreign beauty of cold perfection
The brown eyes with none of the warmth
This masterpiece had come to life
But my heart gave a painful jerk
This beauty lacked kindness which I forgot to paint
