My Work
My Work
A grey morning
A beautiful dawn
I huff
And I lay down
The birds chirp and sing
They swoop down in white streaks
And below, in the cool water
Green weeds dance
The silver and gold
Trembles and ripples
It unfurls my hair
I wave to the wind
I get up again
To work in the afternoon
The sun shines bright
The water shies and shimmers
Its a such a serene scene
To drift off to sleep here
Would be like a nap in heaven
But I don't feel feather light
My work here is done
In the corner of my eye
A flower blooms
A body lies
