Ashes of honor

Ashes of honor

A boy stood tall, with dreams in his eyes
But life dealt him blows, and he lost his way
He searched for truth, for justice and right
But the world was harsh, and his heart took flight

He found solace in steel, in the clash of blades
A way to channel his pain, his rage and his shame
He fought his way, through the darkness and night
But with every victory, he felt a piece of him die

He's haunted by ghosts, of the past and the pain
The memories of what he's done, the lives he's changed
He wonders if he'll ever find peace
Or if the war within him, will forever release

But still he holds on, to the hope in his heart
That one day he'll find, a brand new start
A chance to lay down his arms, and walk away
From the ashes of honor, to a brighter day.
