I'm proud of being your son at first 

You're my inspiration, never apart 

Your every single word pushes me 

I'm forever indebted to you, my dad.

You combatted diseases and ailments, 

Endured and undergone, unbearable 

My lips are sealed and swallow tears 

When I swim in the memories of you.

Either you fought for our Rohingyas,

Devoted plenty of days and nights 

Raised your voice many times

Even struggled through sleepless nights.

Your earthly departure shocked us,

Not because it's an irreplaceable loss 

But because you were a unique leader 

May you be a paradise in heaven.

You're the motive and inspiration 

Why I pen down poetry and stories

My lips are sealed and swallow tears 

When I swim in the memories of you.
