My Hardworking Dabbawali
My Hardworking Dabbawali
I wake up every morning to see,
A face full of happiness and glee,
A beautiful diva with eyes so bright,
My day begins with her hug, so tight.
She forces me to have a bath every day,
And keeps telling me to mend my ways,
Then makes me a dabba with yummy food,
And lovingly asks me, “what’s up dude!”
Then stands and waves till the bus leaves,
And then goes and prays whatever she believes,
Gets ready for her daily job,
With that pretty haircut bob.
I come back home and now it's my turn to serve,
I make some tea, topsy-turve,
She comes back home and kisses me, love,
Thank you, my girl is all that is heard.
A hero is all that she is,
Never frowns, whatever it is,
Works day to night and night to day,
For, she wants me to be successful someday.
She works hard and hard enough indeed,
She doesn’t want money, she has no greed,
All she wants is me to be an achiever,
And I assure you maa, the day is very near.
