O' mother, you are the pillar of my life

On which are imbibed your positive vibes

The sense of truthfulness, forgiveness and equality

Which have always been your priorities.

You have hailed me through the storms

Honesty and sincerity have always been your norms

You have sheltered me, protected me through the strong winds

To let me emerge out bold and face everything.

You have always stood by my side

To give strength, encouragement and power to fight

You have always cherished my dreams

To blossom my life in every stream.

I salute you for making me who I am

For giving me my identity and name

I respect you for your love, care and heart so pure.

That will always be with me as my treasure.

Though you have gone away into an other world

I can still hear you in the chirping of birds

I can feel you in the freshness of air
