Monsoon Showers

As the monsoon begins its downpour 

And the black clouds in the sky float low

There's so much rain in store

As the temperature goes 30 degrees below

It rains and rains the whole day

Making the weather lousy and grey

As summer has gone with the month of May

And monsoon showers are here to stay

The farmers feel happy

As their crops will reap fruits and money

Because of the rainwater

The weather will no longer be hotter

The chill weather

Makes us wonder whether

We can make it out or not

Or it may downpour a lot

Umbrellas and raincoats

Come out to provide us protection and cose

Blankets to doze

Feeling the afternoon woes

A drowsy and dull weather

The sun not showing its feather

We enjoy a cup of hot tea

To feel the warmth for free
