Rakhi A Strong Bond

Rakshabandhan is a strong bond

That stays all along 

Full of love and playfulness

Joy, smiles, and truthfulness

A brother and sister bond

Cannot be broken

In any circumstances

In an instance

It is a blood relation

Which shares a good equation

At home and in society

Giving each other priority

Sometimes they fight

But, that's all right

They make up soon

And once again they are in each other's tune

A "Rakhi" is a sacred thread

Which is tied to the hand 

By sister to brother

Depicting that, they are always together!

Celebrated with prayer, incense sticks, and gifts

Everyone's spirits, it uplifts

Everyone is happy in the family

Sacred threads are also tied to cupboards & doors 

To bring in happiness and prosperity 

Prayer, Tilak, Aarti, and Sweets

Are a part of the festivities

A little bit of fun

With lots of love and blessings, under the sun

Both brother and sister

Give blessings to each other

For a long life and success
