Mend Or Break?

I have a heart that once loved you.

I have a heart that feels bad too.

They say that distance makes the heart grow fonder,

but they don't know that the heart can't hold it any longer.

I convinced my heart that it is time to move on.

my heart was adamant, it wanted to hold on.

With time it believed that love will become stronger.

But I soon realized that it could not be any wronger.

Collecting the broken pieces of my heart,

I am trying to mend and move on.

I am letting go of the past and believe in the saying that life goes on.
