You study hard yet you fail IIT, 

You are still breathing, so, How does it matter?

You burn the midnight oil to enter an IIM yet you fail,

You are still waking up every morning, so, How does it matter?

You don't get placed in your dream company despite being confident,

You still have food and shelter, so, How does it matter?

You fall in love, you come in a relationship, you do every possible thing to make it work, it still did not work out?

You have friends and family, so, How does it matter?

so, what does matter?

What matters is what you learnt from every failure

What matters is what you learnt from every rejection

What matters is what you learnt from every breakup

What matters is what you learn about yourself in the entire process

The process my friend is your journey, the failures are stages, what you learnt with every failure are milestones and 'the new you' is your destination!!
