Memories
Memories
What is life without the sight of you?
From the time you left, I feel blue!
The sun and moon rise each day and bid adieu,
And yet the days are gray, and evenings I rue;
The coffee pot set on the stove to brew,
And winter breeze refreshes the memories of you;
Reminding me that it’s no imagination - but true!
Oh! My heart and soul have expectations but a few.
All I yearn is to see you before time runs out,
And end up together this time, without any doubt;
We can start over with a clean slate,
Rewrite our story before it’s too late.
The lake that freezes in the harsh winter season,
Still gives me hope to cling on without any reason;
For no matter how intense the situation will get,
The frost will protect the soft water bed, I bet!
I long for the warmth of your cuddle,
Only you can turn the frost into a puddle!
