Yin and Yang

She was fierce and bright like a burning twig,

He was muscular, strong with physique so big!

She was effervescent, bubbling and chirpy like a bird,

He was composed, unperturbed, simple like a nerd!

She was rushing & roaring, leader of her tribe,

His quiet and calm demeanor gave a pleasant vibe!

She wanted to explore, run, travel and unleash,

He wanted silence and tranquility, full of peace!

She resisted and fought and still was captive,

Maybe to silence her fire was their sole motive!

But he was unaware of her talent, sorrows & desire,

Too busy with the worldly commitment of his own mire!

Soon she learnt how to let go of her dreams,

Maybe he never asked what she wanted it seems!

Soon they got rid of all the burdens of life,

Now they were all alone like husband and wife!

They talked about the weather, cold and rain,

What did they lose over the years & what did they gain!

The harsh summers had brought wrinkles over her face,

The weakened knees and painful joints had reduced his pace!

How they couldn't recognize the depths of their lang,

Their union was like the Chinese yin n yang!

Now it was time to relive the dreams again,

To recapture the moments which went in vain!

She again felt alive with a new gush inside,

He too promised to be always by her side!
