Best B'day Gift...

Your b'day's coming, dear what do you want,

This simple question is now almost like a chant!

My loved ones, to bless me with a shower of gifts, are eager,

They get restless more and more with my response being so meagre!

I am absolutely sure that I've definitely matured or aged,

Since my concept of gifts has now completely changed!

I don't want presents, parties or a grand feast,

But a life sans all the worries tops my wish list!

Want to wake up & watch the morning rays of light,

And to thank the almighty for a life so bright!

Want to hug my loved ones, as they wish me, tight,

Taste mom made special delicacies with far more delight!

A soothing shower without the trepidation of getting late,

A leisurely walk in the garden with my little mate!

Wanna sing & dance with him and play in the pool,

Then to pack his little bag with goodies and drop him to school!

Then have lunch with my mom & dad as long as we can,

Want to hear their stories and gossips and make evening's plan!

Wanna spend some leisurely time with my better half,

Maybe a candle light dinner or a romantic moon walk!

Want to spend rest of my life with my family closely towed,

I will thank the almighty for the happiness he has bestowed!

Because having such lovely people around is serendipity,

I want to cherish them like this close by me till eternity!

Seeing my family hale and hearty is world's best gift,

Seeing them always smiling gives my spirit a lift!

All the earthly riches, jewels or pleasures divine,

Are trivial in front of this priceless gift of mine!
