I Know Not

I haven't heard your voice,

But I know when you speak. 

I do not understand your words,

But I can sense what you mean.

I have not seen your face,

But I picture how you would look.

I haven't heard you call out my name,

But I know how your voice would sound.

I do not know the color of your eyes,

But I know; they must be deep.

 

I cannot know the measure of your love for me,

But I can feel the warmth of your heart.

I may not be capable of loving the way you do,

But I feel blessed to be loved by you!

I know not, if this wait will ever end?

If the flower of hope would blossom again?

But in my thoughts, in my prayers;

You will forever be-

The darkness of the night, the quiet of peace,

The brightness of sunshine, the touch of breeze,

The whispers of the song that my heart sings.
