Fistful Of Dreams

A fistful of dreams, beliefs clear as a day

Focus, determination kept her worries at bay

She wanted to soar high and become an aviator

Little did she know, she was not her own life's narrator

"Oh! But not now", she's instructed

Then life happened and she hovered

Then marriage and kids kept her engaged

This mundane life is what she never craved

No matter how much she wishes to, she can't elude this whirlwind!

Why? Oh, why? Did she agree to abandon?

Her toys, her career, and her ambition!

Why did she not question back and fight?

Why was she not given what was her right?

Will she ever be able to live her life by drifting apart?

Or is it about time for another soul to silently depart?
