My Eternal Love
My Eternal Love
Time is the best healer, yet I wonder
Why my heart beats like a lightning thunder
And my mind drifts to that memory of the sea marge
Where I first laid eyes upon you, at the edge of a barge
You looked so vibrant, fresh like a summer bloom
One look at you and anyone would come out of their gloom
Dressed in a gown, bright, glittery, and sheen
I wondered to myself, "all my life where has she been?"
Everybody was beguiled by the positivity you offered them
You wore your smile like the Queen wears her diadem
Innocence, beauty, and mischiefs running on your mind
A beautiful combination, a superior bliss, you were one of a kind
Life with you was the only one I lived
Now I merely exist, my heart, my soul is rived
With your memories every minute, I rest;
For everything glamorous has lost its zest
You might have found a home in the realms above
Yet, I still keep you alive in my heart, "my eternal love!"
