Magical Scarecrow
Magical Scarecrow
I laid relaxing in the lawn,
All that was there was silence,
I laid there munching an ear of corn,
No noise, No sound, No violence.
The breeze was great, but the day was hot,
Until something, my eye caught.
A lovely scarecrow standing there.
A hat and a shirt with a little tear.
I slept for a little while,
Dreaming about a lovely song,
When I woke up I realised I had moved a tile away,
Until I found something was wrong.
I saw the scarecrow move an eyebrow,
Were my eyes playing tricks?
I never saw any cows,
But today I saw thirty-six.
Then the scarecrow disappeared, suddenly out of sight,
I searched here I searched there and with all my might.
Until I felt a little nudge,
But who was it, I could not judge.
It was the scarecrow,
Calling me to play.
I jumped up on my toe,
I was speechless; had nothing to say!
When I saw the trees and plants,
Dancing too, I just had to join.
This is such magic, I had no clue,
That I was missing all this, too good to be true!
