She walked slowly to the college that day

By the broken bricks in the cemented path of the walkway

The people hustled with not much stare

The usual discomfort that she would bear

The glim was not too many but just one

From a young man in her ward, let's call Johan

Johan was bright yet so bleak

He cried claiming his passion for her, that turned him weak

He cut his wrist and sent her rune with blood lettered

Awaiting her affection was all that mattered

She felt pity but nothing more, treating him with care

But Johan wanted her for himself and not to share

Time passed by between both of them

Johan grew obstinate and grew in condemn

He wouldn't take the answer for a no and she wouldn't say yes

The storm between them was getting into a mess

Johan lost his mind and then one fine day

Our girl ignorant was walking to college on her usual way

The stares were none but she felt a shoulder tap

Behind was Johan standing miffed and a bottle on his lap

She grew anxious and asked what it was

Showing the time and saying she'd miss the bus

Johan didn't leave and kept on her his stare

Asking her if he dies she would still care

She whisked him off and asked him to come to his sense

He gets mad and takes it in an offence

He shouts out loud pulling her near proclaiming his love

And opens the bottle with handheld above

She gets scared and starts to run

Knowing she was in a tempest that cannot be won

He follows her maddened and throws the acid bottle at her

She drops down with acid all over her

Crying in pain and asking for mercy she was there

With onlookers in the bazaar and everyone else that were...

And someone whispered from the crowd

Afterall is this love all about?
