Lost Love

Once a light that shone so bright,

Now dulled and faded out of sight

A love that once burned hot and true

Now ashes, and a heart that's blue

What once was ours, now seems so far

And memories are all that we are

The days we shared, the nights we knew

The laughs, the tears, the I love you.

I thought we had it all, my dear

But now I'm left alone, in fear

Of never feeling that love again

Of never having that warmth within.

I know I must move on somehow

But the memory of you haunts me now

I pray for strength to heal and cope

To learn to live without this hope.
