Tragedy Of Heart

Tragedy strikes my heart so true

Leaving scars that ache like the dew

Tears that fall like rain so blue

All the while, hoping for a breakthrough

Lost in a world so dark and deep

A soul that weeps, but cannot sleep

Desperate for a way to keep

Memories of love, never to seep

A life that once was filled with light

Now a void that haunts through the night

The echoes of laughter, out of sight

Only remnants of a joyous sight

Tragedy takes, but does not give

Leaves pain, where once there was a sieve

A life forever changed to live

In the shadow of what was once so naive

Though the road ahead may seem dark

And every step may leave its mark,

There will always be a spark

To light the way through the harsh and stark

For though tragedy may bend and break

It cannot extinguish the love we make

With each other, there is no mistake

Together, we can find a way to wake.
