Long day

Inquiring about your well-being, my heart finds delight,

A sense of solace washes over me, like a warm summer's night.

The days turn into weeks, and the weeks into months, it's true,

But hearing your voice, my love, my heart beats anew.

The distance between us, a test of our love's might,

Yet, in your voice, my heart finds a gentle, guiding light.

Your life, a canvas, painted with vibrant hues, I know,

I dare not disturb the brushstrokes of your life's ebb and flow.

But in the silence, I yearn for our next meet,

A chance to relive memories, and create new ones to greet.

In the stillness of the morning, we'll share a cup,

Of steaming coffee, and laughter, our hearts filled up.

The afternoon sun, a warm embrace, as we dine,

Together, our love, a flame, that burns, a love divine.

As evening descends, like a soft, silk cloak,

We'll savor the sweetness, of chocolate, our love's token.

If your health falters, I'll be your shelter, your guiding light,

Adjusting the world, to your comfort, my love, my delight.

A scarf, unfinished, yet woven with love's tender care,

For you, my beloved, a token, of my heart's deepest prayer.

Are my desires, too selfish, too bold?

Or is love's beauty, in its boundless, selfless gold?
