in search of home

They travel alone just hoping

They will soon be home.

The place which was once theirs

Now lays unknown to them.

They had left their loved ones

Far behind

Now they had to walk barefoot, 

Tired and broken for miles.

All that was earned

Seemed to last not for very long

They had just hope to reach home

As they all walked along.

I feel lucky , we are all at home

Yet this lockdown makes

Us feel lonely and alone.
