Illusion
Illusion
We’re living happily in a world of deceptive illusion;
In submissive acceptance of unmitigated delusion;
What actually we’re able to see, is not quite as it is,
We hear the audible, but ultrasonic sounds we miss.
In a pool of water, looks bent the strait immersed stick,
In the sky the eagle’s a speck, is that some clever trick!
Ultra-sonic sounds creature hear, but why cannot we?
We should hear them too if they’re there in reality!
In the oases, the enticingly beckoning mirage we can see,
Pools of clear water, greenery and also swaying palm tree,
We hurry to moisten our parched lips, to quench our thirst,
But our hopes melt in the desert for our dreams are cursed.
When we see a writhing caterpillar crawling lazily on a leaf,
It’ll fly one day as a Butterfly, will be contrary to our belief;,
When we see a little tadpole twirling merrily in waters deep,
We cannot imagine that one day as a gusty frog it will leap.
It is all a false illusion and disastrous delusion my friend,
Nothing exists as it seems, from the beginning to the end,
A man is born helpless, a babe to gurgle, babble and cry,
But becomes a gargantuan bully, from an innocuous fry!
