I wish I could be Free...

I am in my dog house, but sick of my leash, 

I am treated not so good; I say this in disbelief. 

I’m tired of being tied up in a certain place, 

I just want to be free, and run around apace. 

 

I wish I could be free like the white pet dog in the neighborhood, 

Who is raised as a pampered dog from childhood. 

I want to be in a meadow and run with all my might, 

Where I could be with all my friends and where the sun shines bright. 

 

I miss my family, my friends and my lairs, 

In my doghouse, I feel suffocated and ensnared. 

I feel that I am not treated so fair, 

Even if my owner is a billionaire. 

 

At least I wish to be kept in my owner’s pretty garden, 

Rather than being in the doghouse which feels like a dark carton. 

Sometimes, by thinking this, I feel heartbroken,  

I feel all gloomy and sad, as my mood darkens. 

 

I wish again, I could be free, 

And move around in the bright sun with glee. 

All day I sit in my dog house, feeling lousy, 

I can still be happy just by seeing the sun and a little Daisy.
