The Ocean at Night

The shimmer of the ocean,

Throughout the horizon,

The splashing of the waves,

Glimmering in the dawn.

Everything so silent,

Except for the soft voice of splashing waves on my toe,

Everything so dark all around,

Only the moon’s shiny glow.

The ocean at night,

Feels so dark and deep,

When all animals return home,

And the whole world is fast asleep.

The night’s so beautiful,

Not a person insight,

Just me on the beach,

The ocean is calm tonight.
