Heaven's Not So Far

I was in my Grandmother’s arm

I was smiling the fullest,

I was the happiest child ever

Her arm was the safest place,

I promised her I will always love her

She promised me she’ll be there for me forever.

I was lucky,

But then the tick-tock started

My Grandmother was going away from me

Everything was fading away

Turning into all black,

Where were you going, I had no clue

But the promise “to be with me” was broken,

And With the promise, I was broken.

All I needed was her

No one was listening

All I did was to keep my promise, I kept my promise

No matter where she was, I loved her.

And with the time

I realized she did keep her promise,

She was always there,

Always inside my heart.

But with a single difference, God took her away from me

But God forgot to take my heart away,

My Grandma was there

We were far away

Maybe in distance, but never from our hearts!!
