Heartfelt Appreciation

Covering a long way of life with pride and power

Felt tired today at this eventless tragic hour.

A cage of imagination was woven in this loyal heart,

And was proceeding smoothly along the polished path.

All of a sudden darkness filled surroundings, not known to me;

Flowers did not smile as honey was stolen by the bee.

You were the sailor of your life-boat holding the helm,

Didn’t get inbuilt courage, only self to blame.

Putting all the problems aside, you proudly moved forward;

Could not match the swing of steps and felt awkward.

Though my heart was filled with gratitude for you,

Could not pay back anything in return than a blunt view.

Lost my energy and rhythm in this evening of life,

Looking for your compassion on standing at the edge of a knife.
