Expectations
Expectations
Either the way a skylark prays for water
To appease her thirst,
Or emerges a hope for paddy in the field
When will it rain first?
Peacock wishes to dance at will
In the tune of drizzling rain,
With distended tail-feather scattered,
Loitering in a green terrain.
The dried pond looks for water, hoping
Undulating waves on its chest,
Hundreds of Lilly to bloom with a smile
To promote love at its best.
Flowers in the garden with a continued hope
Of releasing their stress,
When will the honeybees start buzzing?
With a calm embrace.
A hope of affectionate touch for the tree leaves
Grows with wind blow,
The expectation of spreading the message of happiness
Brings out a flawless glow.
The dark confinement secretly prays for a hole
To find a ray of light,
The Earth wishes to keep its glittering glare
On changing darkness to bright.
People hope for miraculous solutions to issues
To have magical changes in life,
Before disappearing one’s self-existence in the world
Everyone expects to thrive.
