Halloween Smile
Halloween Smile
Halloween, it was fun to dress up in tyranny, and ask for treats and knocking on doors,
As joyous adults cherished our sweet tooth.
But on the walk returning home I lost all my candies,
Wait wait, I gave all my candies,
When I saw the poor little girl walk with an empty ragged cloth,
Starving and in tattered,
What we did that day in joy, she did it everyday in helplessness,
And as we returned with treats and smiles,
She returned with tears and an empty stomach.
And as I slipped my candies in her ragged cloth bag,
And warmed her with my Superwoman Cape,
It gave me the smile that the candies couldn't give,
It gave me the smile on my face because I had brought a smile on hers.
It was my best Halloween...
