Goodbye to a place
Goodbye to a place
The trees wave me goodbye
It's the end of all kinds of times
And I wish I didn't have to go
To cry within me low
I've been through so much
I got to know a lot
I'll crave having all such
Till I'll be forgetting what I was taught
It's clumsy how I came
It's sad how I'll be burning everything in my forgetting flame
One more good thing will vanish from my life
One more good time will fly and pass me by
If I could I'd never leave
But now I'll be just remembering every evening
When I used to be looking at coconut trees
And counting lights attached to insects like bees
The easy wind that rushed all over my face
Every part of me was able to calculate its pace
And if things here hate me then the grave is my only place
And I'll be cursing everything I never traced
Loving it was good, but it wasn't golden
Loving it not but will be no less than faded
I'll wait till I find something worth
And be happy just to see my sadness' birth.
